Tourist Visa:

Entry:

A visa is necessary to enter Nepal, and can be obtained from any Royal Nepalese Embassy or consulate, or at the entry points of Nepal.

Re-entry:

Single re-entry US$ 25.00
Double re-entry US$ 40.00
Multiple re-entry US$ 60.00

Important: Re-entry permits should be used within the validity period of visa. It isn't accepted as a visa extension.

How to extend your visa:

Your visa can be extended at the department or the immigration office, Pokhara, for a total 120 days. If you require a visa extension for more than 120 days, the departments, by the approval of Home ministry, grants an additional 30 days visa on reasonable grounds. In one visa year (January to December) you may not stay in Nepal longer than 150 days.

Transit Visa:

You can obtain transit visa from the Airport immigration officer for 48 hours on the presentation of air ticket.

Transit Visa fee: US$ 5.00

Trekking Permit

Restricted areas:

Mustang fees in US$ 700 per person for 10 days. After first 10 days, US$ 70 per day.

Upper Dolpo US$ 700 per person for 10 days. After first 10 days, US$ 70 per day.

Manaslu US$ 90per person per week in peak season: September - November. The fee is US$ 75 a week during the off-peak season: December - August.

Simikot (Yari) US$ 90 per person per week. After first 7 days, US$ 15 per day.

Other normal areas:

Kanchanjunga US$ 10 per person per week for the first month. After first 4 weeks, US$ 20 per week. (In Nepalese Currency)

Lower Dolpo US$ 10 per person per week for the first month. After first 4 weeks US$ 20 per week.
